Japan. A pair of Portuguese adventurers, having hitched a ride on a Chinese ship, brought the first arquebuses to the land of the Rising Sun. Within a few decades, Japan had heavily armed itself with this innovative weapon, and in 1592, when Japan invaded Korea, it brought with it tens of thousands of arquebuses made by Japanese blacksmiths.
