Hinduism was born in India as a combination of Aryan religions and indigenous Indian religions; it is codified in the sacred scriptures Vedas (4 books written from 1500 BC to 500 BC) and Upanishads (also considered a further section of the Vedas); among the 330 million gods and goddesses, the divine trinity stands out, representing the cyclical nature of the universe: Brahms the creator, Shiva the destroyer, Vishnu the preserver.
