Battle of Tollense, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, present-day Germany. At least 4,000 warriors fought in this ancient battle. Given that the population density at the time was about five people per square kilometer, this would have been the most significant Bronze Age battle in Central Europe known to date, making the Tollense Valley currently the largest excavated and archaeologically verifiable battle site from that period in the world.
