Outgoing President Joe Biden has removed Cuba from the blacklist of states that sponsor terrorism, and Cuba says it is ready to release 553 prisoners held for “various crimes.” In a statement to Congress, the outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden officially requested that Cuba be removed from the “blacklist” because “there is no credible evidence” that it is currently engaged in supporting international terrorism.
