The Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) is born: an organization founded and owned by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, with a 99% investment of the couple’s lifetime wealth from their Facebook shares. It will invest $3 billion to prevent, cure, or manage any disease by the end of the 21st century.
