At the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Max Biaggi won the 2010 SBK world title. He was the first Italian rider to win the SBK world title, the first rider to win two world titles in 13 years, and the second rider to win both a Superbike and a Grand Prix Motorcycle Championship title after American John Kocinsky. He became the first Italian rider to win on an Italian bike, taking the title at the Italian GP.
