TASS lists the planes he designed, but fails to mention that many of them were designed while he was imprisoned in a prison city (Aviation Gulag), forbidden to leave. At the time of his death, he was working on the Tu-144, the supersonic passenger plane designed to challenge the Anglo-French Concorde.
