Apollo 14 (Saturn V SA-509): Alan Shepard (a veteran spaceflight pilot), Stuart Roosa (a nuclear bomber pilot trained for thermonuclear warfare), and Edgar Mitchell (a secretive follower of telepathic communication and EMP) complete their third lunar landing in the Command Module Kitty Hawk and the Lunar Module Antares. They remain on the Moon for 1 day 9 hours and 30 minutes, walk on the Moon for 4 hours 47 minutes the first time and 4 hours 34 minutes the second time, and collect 42.8 kg of lunar samples. Location: the Fra Mauro Hills. Alan Shepard also enjoys a couple of golf swings (with a 6-iron hidden from NASA).
