Yuri Gagarin dies in a plane crash: his plane is grazed (10 or 20 meters away according to witnesses) by another jet at supersonic speed, which does not see him due to bad weather. Witnesses hear two bangs, one the sonic boom of the first MiG, the other that of Gagarin’s plane which, due to the weather disturbance, loses its trim and crashes to the ground.
