Himmler presents himself to the new Reich President, Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz, to try to secure a seat in the new German government, but despite repeated meetings, nothing comes of it. Himmler then decides to go into hiding, trying to blend in with the disbanded Wehrmacht soldiers.
