Operation Catechism: The German battleship Tirpitz, sister ship to the Bismarck, is sunk in a Norwegian fjord: it is hit head-on by at least two gigantic Talboy bombs (plus one near miss) specially constructed by the same English engineer who also built the special bomb to destroy the Ruhr dams; even the aviators were the same, given the precision required due to the altitude (5,000 m, the bomb broke the sound barrier).
