Stalingrad. With 120 flights a day, an attempt is made to send supplies to von Paulus’s Sixth Army. But at least 150 flights a day would be needed to deliver at least 300 tons a day. Initially, the estimate was 500 tons a day. Everything is rationed. The basic ration consists of 75 grams of bread, 200 grams of horse meat including bones, 12 grams of wheat, 11 grams of sugar, and one cigarette.
