Signal Intelligence: The Germans develop the Schlüsselgerät 39 (SG-39) machine to replace Enigma, but it never goes into production. It is a nearly impenetrable machine, featuring rewireable reflectors (similar to the 1944 UKD), four rotors with variable notches, three mechanical wheels, and a configurable input plugboard.
