Kurt Gödel’s Theorem: “In all mathematics there are statements that cannot be proved true” was published as On Formally Undecidable Propositions of Principia Mathematica and Related Systems; mathematician John Von Neumann, who was giving a series of lectures in America, canceled the remainder of the syllabus and devoted the final part of the course entirely to Gödel’s Theorem.
