Harper’s Weekly writes: “In the public eye, Mr. Marconi and wireless telegraphy are one and the same. He is radiotelegraphy. Marconi was the first in this field, the first to send wireless messages over distances of several miles, the first to reach a hundred miles, the first to cross seas and oceans. He held the record and continues to hold it. And this, in the face of a good many competitors, is a great achievement for a young man under thirty. He deserves all the fame he has earned.”
