Corinth, between Mississippi and Tennessee. The Southerners attack in three successive waves. Finally, Colonel Rogers’ Texans intervene, advancing deep. Rogers’ horse is killed, but he grabs the flag and continues, arriving to his death right on the Federal defenses. Here too, the Southerners lose the initiative and it passes to the Bluecoats.
