Napoleon has only 20,000 men left, while Marmont and Mortier with another 20,000 hold off Blucher’s 100,000, and Marshal MacDonald protects the southern roads of Paris with 30,000 men against Schwarzenberg’s 122,000. But he still possesses his skill in speed and boldness, which still confuses the Allies, who believe they see him appearing everywhere around Paris.
