Artemius and Isidorus finish the Hagia Sophia (Greek for Heavenly Wisdom) in Constantinople: it is the largest cathedral in the world, first Christian (under the Byzantine Empire) and then Muslim (under the Ottoman Empire); it cost the equivalent of 1.5 billion US dollars in 2000 with 10,000 workers.
