The French Marshal Boucicault, an ally of the Genoese, stops in Cyprus to convince the King, the last Crusader Kingdom in the East, to support Genoa. Then he continues to the Venetian base of Modone, where Zeno’s fleet is stationed. The next day Zeno goes out to fight and defeats Boucicault. The Venetians gain a peace with indemnities and the prestige of a quick victory.
